Safety and Security

As a guest in Afghanistan you will discover a peaceful, welcoming country full of vibrant culture and heartfelt hospitality.

For the first time in decades Afghanistan is at peace. You will be welcomed with open arms by the strongest and most hospitable people on earth.

Yes, women can travel to Afghanistan without any problem. Our team has organized many trips for women and we can assure you that you will have an incredible experience. You simply need to dress conservatively. Don't pay attention to what you see in the news, you will be free to travel everywhere in Afghanistan as you please, no need to wear a burka or anything like this.

Despite outdated official warnings from governments around the world, Afghanistan is safe to travel to. Let's See Afghanistan is the oldest and most trusted tour company in the country and has never had an incident with one of our guests. We work with the Taliban to ensure that you will experience nothing other than the best hospitality that the world has to offer.

Visa Information

All  visitors need an Afghan tourist visa before arrival and it must be secured before arrival. Afghanistan has no visa‑on‑arrival or e‑visa program, so you must apply for a visa in person through an embassy or consulate ahead of time.

The process is  straightforward if you know where to go and have someone to help. Dubai’s Afghan Consulate generally offers same‑day turnaround, while Islamabad, Peshawar, Tehran, Doha and a handful of other regional offices also issue visas regularly.

Just get in touch and we'll sort everything out ahead of time to ensure things go smoothly. You'll need a passport valid six months beyond travel dates, two photos, a completed form, and most importantly: the itinerary and Letter of Invitation we provide.
